Innovative Primary Care will no longer prescribe any compounded medications, including GLP‑1 therapies and peptides. There will be no exceptions to this policy within Innovative Primary Care.

To help you continue care safely and affordably, we are partnering closely with our sister company, Sana Vida Wellness Center. Sana Vida Wellness Center is operated by Dr. P. John Schanen, APRN, FNP‑C, ENP‑C. He is licensed in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Virginia, Florida, and Colorado, and offers convenient virtual care for patients in those states.

Sana Vida is a membership‑based virtual practice providing comprehensive care for $149 per month for a single service (for example, weight management or hormone optimization). Discounted bundle memberships for patients seeking both hormone optimization and weight loss start at $245 per month. Most refill requests are completed within about 30 minutes during normal business hours when using their app. We provide receipts for monthly memberships, and many commercial insurance carriers may reimburse patients when they submit these receipts (for example, using services such as Reimbursify).

A key benefit of this new process is transparent pricing with no clinic markups, unlike many online clinics that add significant hidden fees. We have compared options with multiple compounding pharmacies to secure some of the lowest pricing available for our patients. All prescriptions are filled through a trusted San Antonio–area compounding pharmacy, and patients pay the pharmacy directly, knowing the exact cost before shipping.
